The exhibition about site-specific theatre, Anywhere & Everywhere [Ergens & Overal], will be travelling to Munich on 6th May. The exhibition deals with one of the most successful Dutch theatre genres and can be seen in the Müncher Kammerspiele until 3rd June.
‘Die Perser’ from Johan Simons will be premiering in the Münchner Kammerspiele on 5th May; Simons is considered as one of the pioneers of the genre of site-specific theatre and this international version of the exhibition will focus extra attention on his work. There will be pictures of Simon’s work and fragments of interviews with him.
‘Experience Houses’
As well as Simon’s work, Anywhere & Everywhere is an opportunity to become acquainted with the various manifestations of Dutch site-specific theatre. And the exhibition even offers the visitor first hand experience. Stage designer Theun Mosk has developed colourful ‘experience houses’ with sound, peepholes, video screens and objects.
The exhibition Anywhere & Everywhere was at five summer festivals in the Netherlands last year and received 13,000 visitors. The travelling exhibition is part of an extensive exchange with German theatre this year.
